3D Printing is a beneficial resource to have in the classroom. I believe that 3D printing technology has made a major influence on students’ lives and schools. The Makerbot 3D printer can make so many things that can make learning fun and hands-on for students by having a visual aid. Every student learns differently. The ones that learn visual will be the ones to benefit the most out of 3D printing. It can make manipulatives for students to use and learn from. It is a very creative tool to use. I found a lesson plan about fractions. A pie was made and cut into different pieces with a fraction written on each piece. Teachers are able to design the pie shape any way they want it with any fraction. 3D printing can be used for any grade level and any subject. 3D printing may take some time getting used, but once teachers know how to work it effectively, they will be using it a lot. There are many free lesson plans that can be found on Thingiverse. 3D Printers are expensive, but the great thing is that there are many grants, scholarships, and awards that schools can apply for. The 2020 Makerbot Grant Guide can be found on the Makerbot website.

I am glad you took a look at the website and check out what lessons teacher use for this technology! 3-D technology has also become a dominant presence in many classrooms. I think that this is helpful to the teachers and students both if they have access to the equipment. Teachers can use the printer to create hands-on lessons or even tools to help their students learn. One of the great things about this technology is that it can be used in all subjects whether it is math, art, or reading. On the other hand, students are exposed to other ways of learning and new experiences. They learn through the hands-on activities provided by their teachers, but if they are allowed the chance to use the printer, then their minds will grow even more!
